Playstation 5 arrives on November 12th and will costs 499 euros.
Sony has revealed the price and release date of the Playstation 5. Playstation 5 will already be released on November 12 in the United States, Japan and a number of other countries. The European market will follow a week later. The console will cost 499 euros same like in Dollars and will be available in Europe on November 19.
Sony also will bring a cheaper model to gamers that does not have a Blu-ray disc drive. This model does not differ in performance or computing power from its bigger brother and will go over the counter for only 399 euros. You can reserve a Playstation 5 in advance from Thursday, the official PlayStation account reports on Twitter.
In addition to the details surrounding the Playstation 5, Sony also revealed a number of exclusive titles. Images were shown of Final Fantasy 16, Deathloop and God of War: Ragnarok. Sony also showed trailers of multi-platform games such as Spider-Man: Miles Morales, Hogwarts Legacy (a game set in the Harry Potter universe), Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, and Demon’s Souls.
According to Bloomberg news, Sony is facing serious production problems for the console. Instead of 15 million consoles, Sony expects to be able to produce 11 million PlayStation 5 models in the current fiscal year, which ends in late March 2021. The Japanese tech giant is unable to produce enough chips. Whether this has consequences for the number of consoles available in the Europe remains to be seen.
